2020 Year in review
What a challenging year it has been for everyone, and what a way for us to finish it off with a concert that we thought we would never be able to put on.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, dance studios around the world were forced to shut down regular classes with little warning. This required the teams at both Acclaim and Vieira to adapt quickly, and it is a credit to Miss Renee, Miss Lauren and all of the teaching staff across the two studios that classes continued to run through Zoom during this shutdown period.
With online classes, our students were able to keep up their training, develop new skills and work towards a return to the stage and exams. The return to classes in the studios was exciting for both the teachers and students, bringing some much needed motivation to everyone.
We are so grateful that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, competitions have returned, exams were completed and we are able to put on a combined end of year concert – even if it is with the addition of hand sanitiser and social distancing.
